Inside Look: Design Process for Huggy Wear

The initial concept rough sketch to get a feel of how the direction of the artwork is looking. At this point, the client will decide if they like the pose, posture, etc. The next step is to address the changes.

After the rough is discussed and changed, more detail is added and objects become more recognizable, as well as small details added.

After the penciling is complete, inking is the step. My favorite pens to use for this step are Artists Pens by Faber-Castell.

After inking, logos are usually placed and tags are discussed with the client and the artwork is scanned into the Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Colorways are tested and shown to the client.
A proof of the art is sent to the client and once approval is given, the invoice is sent and the final artwork is emailed in a zip file for use.
