What?

Came across a hilarious interview Russell Westbrook had with the media directly after a loss. I know on a regular basis these NBA players have deal with the press at the worst times no matter how they feel. And on top of that they often have to deal with pretty dumb questions. This day was one of those days. Check it out...

NYK.

My latest rendering inspired by the New York Knicks (Too bad my Sixers have hardly anything to inspire me about) Ever since my wife got us NBA League Pass, I've had the opportunity to watch NY play & have been very impressed!

Design Inspiration.

I've always admired sneakers and the design process behind them and with Jordan's especially! This year Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan XX8 (28) on Feb. 16th. The design and colorway was so inspiring I had to do an illustration based off it. Check it out...

Fresh Ink Series with Counterkicks

Back in early January, I was able to reach out to John Brilliant (Founder of Counterkicks.com) and offered to contribute to his website with a regular series of illustrations for upcoming sneaker releases. Today, the series began with its first installment.

Inside Look: Design Process for Huggy Wear

The initial concept rough sketch to get a feel of how the direction of the artwork is looking. At this point, the client will decide if they like the pose, posture, etc. The next step is to address the changes.

KicksOnFire

Man... So last night, I start getting a rush of follower notifications from my Instagram account straight into the evening! It had to be about 300-400 followers all at once! Apparently, KicksOnFire.com saw my art I posted and tweeted about! I was so humbled and inspired to do even more! Most of the things I draw for Instagram is while I have free time at work and inspired by their blog as well as many others. So to see them recognize me and promote me was a true blessing! More after the jump...

The NBA is Back!

When it comes to sports, there's nothing like the game of basketball! Even though my Sixers arent always the most entertaining team to watch, the game in itself is amazing! The NBA and it's players always are a source of inspiration for me.

Gameday Tees

One of the perks that my kids have being that their dad is an artist is they usually get to have cool personalized things, especially clothing. Last year, my son participated in his school's annual Color Day. That year I decided to hook him up with a custom-painted t-shirt instead of buying one. He had a blast wearing it as well as receiving the responses he got for wearing it. So, this year, we decided to do the same thing but new and improved. In addition, my Beauty suggested that we'd offer the custom shirts to other kids and parents around the neighborhood & offer them during our local Jog-A-Thon. (What a genius!) Long story short, they were a hit!

Prismacolor Love

I was going through our storage today and found this bad boy! A colored pencil portrait I did in high school (2001-2002) on one of my favorite mediums back then. I used to love to stay in the art room for half of my school day drawing on matte board and coloring with Prismacolor Premium colored pencils!

LeBronage

Decided to challenge myself to rendering the Beast himself, LeBron James from my minds eye. Pics of the process after the jump.
